STARTED DOGS ARE OUR SPECIALTY. I AM VERY PASSIONATE ABOUT TAKING A PUP & TURNING IT ON TO RUNNING RABBITS. MY DEFINITION OF A STARTED DOG IS NOT WHAT SOME PEOPLE CALL A STARTED DOG. YOU KNOW SOME PEOPLE WILL CALL A DOG STARTED BECAUSE IT RAN A RABBIT 15 YARDS & BARKED 3 TIMES. I WILL NOT EVEN CONSIDER A DOG STARTED UNTIL IT IS HUNTING ON ITS OWN & STAYING IN THE RACE WITH THE OTHER DOGS.
MOST OF THE PUPS I START ARE PUPS I BREED & RAISE OUT OF MY OWN PERSONAL FINISHED DOGS. I DO NOT DO THIS JUST TO SELL SOMETHING BUT RATHER TO PRODUCE THE KIND OF DOG THAT YOU CAN BE PROUD OF BECAUSE IF IT COMES FROM HERE IT WILL HAVE A GREAT FOUNDATION TO BUILD ON & YOU CAN FINISH IT OUT BY PUTTING TRACKS ON IT & HARVESTING SOME RABBITS OVER THEM.
I BELIEVE PRODUCING A DOG YOU CAN BE PROUD OF STARTS WITH A GOOD BREEDING, HAVING THE RIGHT FACILITIES TO TRAIN, INTRODUCING PUPS TO RABBITS, & GOOD RUNNING GROUNDS WITH LOTS OF RABBITS, BUT MOST OF ALL, TIME INVESTED IN THEM AT A VERY EARLY AGE.
WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE ALL OF THE ABOVE. I TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN HAVING YOUNG DOGS THAT HUNT & HANDLE THE RIGHT WAY.
THE GREAT THING ABOUT BUYING A YOUNG DOG IS YOU GET TO WATCH THE DOG PROGRESS TO A FINISHED DOG & YOU GET A LOT MORE YEARS OF USE FOR YOUR MONEY.
I'VE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE TO TELL ME THAT THE YOUNG DOGS, THEY ARE BUYING FROM HERE, ARE OUTPERFORMING SOME OF THE FINISHED DOGS THEY OWN. IT IS VERY COMMON FOR PEOPLE TO BUY 1-2 STARTED DOGS FROM US & THE NEXT THING YOU KNOW THEY ARE COMING BACK TO BUY MORE.
WHEN PEOPLE SEE THE QUALITY THAT IS THE STANDARD OF OUR STARTED DOGS IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE FOR MOST PEOPLE TO BUY OR RAISE PUPS BECAUSE AFTER YOU ADD UP THE COST OF BUYING A PUP, FEEDING, VACCINATIONS, & TRAINING PEN COST YOU ARE NOT FAR FROM THE COST OF ONE OF OUR STARTED DOGS BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU HAVE THE ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY THAT YOU ARE SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON A RABBIT DOG WITH THE HUNT, LOOKS, MOUTH, & HANDLE THAT YOU LIKE. YOU NORMALLY CAN COME HERE & CHOOSE BETWEEN A FEW DOGS INSTEAD OF BETTING IT ALL ON THE PUP YOU BOUGHT & HAVE WAITED FOR MONTHS HOPING IT TURNS OUT TO BE A GOOD DOG. WHAT IF THE PUP DOESN'T TURN OUT? WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT ALL THAT & SEE WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER YOU WILL FIND THIS IS THE WAY TO GO!
THAT'S NOT TO SAY THAT NO ONE ELSE HAS PUPS THAT TURN OUT RIGHT BUT IF YOU ARE TIRED OF THE RESULTS YOU ARE GETTING TRY US OUT. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!

Joker is a red-tick male out of Fire & Scooter born on 4/22/14. He should be a 15" dog when fully grown. Joker is improving every time we go out. I'm confident he will do well with tracks. He already understands that the tone button means to get to me immediately & he comes in quick.
Joker will make someone a very nice dog & is a good looking dog as well. I'm running him every time I go so he will just keep getting better as each day goes by. Price is $700.
Bandit is a red-tick male out of Dandy & Buster. He was born on 4/24/14. He should be about 13-14" when fully grown. I have had Bandit ready for pick up by someone who had him reserved but I can't get a response from them so I have no choice but to place him up for sale.
Bandit is doing very well. He loves to go hunting & is well on his way to becoming a tremendous dog. He handles great & is staying in every race. I've seen him jump rabbits & get checks as well. Whoever gets him will get a very good young male that I'm sure will develop into a very good rabbit dog if fed tracks. If you'll take him to the field & run the heck out of him you'll have a dog others will be envious of. Price is $700.
Sold to Terry Steen from Vaiden, MS on 10/17/14
These 2 red & white dogs were born on 4/15/14 & are out of Fawn, a daughter of Brownie & Buster, & Waylon, a son of Hunter & Ruby. Fawn was the runt of the litter. Her liter mate sisters are Little Ann & Georgia. Fawn is a little fireball just like her sisters. She may be small but she hunts very big & backs down to no one. She has tons of hunt & gets in places some of the bigger dogs can't get.
Waylon is a big 15" dog. He hunts more like a bulldozer & has as big of a mouth as you'll find. Waylon is a younger brother to Hunter Jr, Peyton, & Hottie that are some of my favorites to go out with.
My buddy, David Russell, owns Fawn & Waylon & made this cross. I helped him do the same worming & shot schedule I use & the same products. I removed the dew claws & docked the tails. David sight chased the pups early & often & I started the whole litter. David had a very tough time making his choices. I will have 2 males that are litter-mates to these ready soon.
These 2 young dogs are doing great in the wild & getting better with each trip to the wild. They have good hunt & handle & are very excited when they get a rabbit up.
if you like dogs who are gonna have their ears torn up when you load them this is your type of dog. Price is $700 each
Copper is a lemon-tick male & Buddy is a blue-tick male. They are out of Abby, who is a Sandy & Joe daughter, & Hank, who is a son of Cricket & Poncho. This is my bloodlines on both sides.
They were born on 4/20/14. My buddy, David Russell made this cross & I started the whole litter. David followed every schedule that I use for wormer & shots & actually got the shots, etc from me. I removed the dew claws & docked the tails myself. David sight chased the pups prior to them going into the training pen.
The pups started very quick & David has had a tough time deciding on which pups to keep. I've been running them in the wild & I'm impressed with what I'm seeing. They have very good hunt, good mouth, hunt with their nose on the ground, & both handle great. They are improving every time we go out & are going to make a great dogs if given time in the field. Here's an opportunity to get a very nice looking dog that will not just look good but perform good as well. Buddy should be 15" when grown. Copper will be a little smaller frame than Buddy. If you like a dog that will love all over you when you are not hunting Copper is your kind of dog. In the field he knows to hunt but when you get done he's all about interaction with people. Price is $700 each.
Sold to Tom Wyatt from Palmyra, IL on 10/18/14
Cash was born on 4/7/14. He is a red-tick male out of Maria & Scooter & should be 15" when grown. Joker is doing a good job in the field each morning & is going to be a good dog. He just needs tracks. He knows what the tone button is & will come right to your feet when you just tone him.
He is getting in the thickets & goes to the other dogs when they open up. He continues to improve with each day he is run. Price is $700. Sold!!!!!
Sold to Daniel Hood from Springfield, MO on 10/17/14
Jan is a 13" tricolor female that was born on 1/24/14. She isn't out of my bloodline but I raised her & started her. She has good hunt & is doing a good job of getting some checks & she is staying in the races. She gets more excited & better with each trip to the field.
Stan is a little bigger than Jan but not by much. He's coming on strong & is staying in all the races now. His hunt is getting better with each trip to the field. If you hit the tone button he will be at your feet in no time.
They're out of the Lizard Creek Tadpole bloodline & are showing great promise. Very easy to handle & a very good mouth that isn't gonna bark until they have the track under their nose. Price is $700 each.
Sold to Adam Hewitt from Ontario, Canada on 7/5/14
Sold to Adam Hewitt from Ontario, Canada on 7/5/14
These 2 males are out of Sandy & Joe. they were born on 2/19/14. Adam put a deposit on these 2 when they were 8 weeks old. There are 6 in the litter but I kept 3 females & a male myself. (No I'm not going to sell them!)
These are the real deal. I thought I would have them ready in September but I decided to try & get them ready earlier so I put them in the starting pen on 5/28/14 @ 3 months old. I took them out of the pen on 6/8/14 because their noses were torn up & they were burning rabbits up.
I took them in the wild & they ran as good as I could ever hope for a pup at 3 moths old. They've never come out of a race yet & are very serious about hunting rabbits. They handle great & load at the tail gate without being chased down. I've very seldom had to even shock them. I couldn't be prouder of them.
I know Adam is going to love these 2 & he was impressed at their ability when he came to see them & pick them up. Price is $700 each. SOLD!!!
There's a few pups on the Available for Deposit page now that can be reserved.
